Happy Easter 2008

Happy Easter Everyone!! I sure hope you had a wonderful day remembering the awesome hope we have in our risen savior!!

Well, we had big plans for the day but unfortunately Missy Grace woke up with the stomach flu!! Major bummer, but as you can see she wasn't too affected by it other than a periodic need for a clean-up if you know what I mean!!!!

It actually turned out to be a very blessed day. Brandon, Braeden and Kailey were able to continue on with our packed out-fun filled day while Gracie and I got to cuddle and watch movies all day long!! Not to bad huh???

Anyway, here are some of my favorites shots from the day. We had a great time even with the sickness. I pray your day was blessed as well!!!

Ok, so the sun glasses were my idea. I think I was just getting tired of sharing mine in the car and then having to time how long each child got to wear them until it was the next ones turn!! Now they each have a pair and they have all been informed that they are FOR THE CAR!!! :) :) :)

Anyway, we have been so blessed by these two families. It amazes me that they would call us friends!!! May the Lord pour out His blessing on them. I pray that their reward would be great in heaven for the many ways they daily serve and bless all those around them. Truly it is the love of the Lord that shines so brightly through them.

Playing in the street!!!

Here are a few recent pics with the kids. I can't wait to share more, but it's hard to decide which and what to share since I have been off-line for so long!!! I figured I would just start with some recent ones and go forward from here!! Anyway, thanks to all of you who gently nudged me to get back out blog'n again!!!! :) :) :) Love you guys!!!!

OHhh yeah - these pics were of us just hang'n in the hood. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Just stepping outside and playing in the street is pure joy. I am so truly grateful for the immeasurable blessing the Lord has given us.

Yes - this is a fishing pole and NO we don't live by water!! Our game is to take sidewalk chalk and make targets in the street with points and then we see who can cast the most points. On a side note, I love this game because it is fun but also because of what Braeden had to say about it. He calls it the 1 Pet 5:7 game "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." I was blessed by his sweet little comment as he remembered the verse and then bounced away to play other games with his friends!!!!

Brody's # 4

It's been such a blessing to be able to celebrate milestones with JJ and Sarah again!! Last weekend we got to celebrate Brody's 4th Birthday. We started the day with donuts and coffee (chocolate milk for the kids)!!! Then we took a trip to the family fun center for some go carts and video games!! Finally, we ended the night with a family party and sleepover!!! Brody seemed to have such a fun time and my kids could barely contain themselves. They had been waiting all week for Saturday's party. Truly it is sooo GOOD and PLEASANT
when brothers live together in unity! (Ps 133:1)

Dear Lord, I pray your blessing on Brody. May this next year be filled with your joy, peace, and hope. Father open his eyes that he may see you more clearly. I pray that you would create a hunger and thirst in him that can only be satisfied by seeking after you. Father, may this next year be filled with blessing as Brody learns more about you and truly places his life in your hands.

Father I pray your blessing on JJ and Sarah. Direct them in your ways as they raise Brody and Paige. Give them wisdom as they prayerfully consider this next years set of decisions. Give them you peace and protect them!!! Thank you father for pouring out your blessing on our family and thank you for hearing our prayer. We love you so much Jesus and pray these things in your name, Father. Amen.
